 This "Observation Report" is for informational purposes only. The “Observation Report” may not depict accurate size, scale, nor locations. It is based on approximate locations only. All pipe locates below grade are based on equipment readings, and sound. Please note this is not an inspection report. 

 A "Pressure Test" is used to check your pipe’s ability to hold a defined amount of pressure for the time depicted. In this case, it is used to check for active leaks or breaks in the pipe run that is allowing your water to escape. Heaters, air raters, filters and other equipment are not pressure tested; Meaning pressure tests are used to check for leaks at underground piping. Typically, a pressure test will be from the nearest connection point before the pipe goes underground to a pool side inlet/ outlet.  

A) Zone: Pressure tests are broken into Zones. "Zone" meaning what was included in a particular pressure test between point locations specified. Different pipe runs (example: spa floor water feature vs. pool returns), may be combined in one "Zone" due to equipment construction or for time constraints. A "Zone" is decided on a case by case basis. Depending on the length of a Zone, Durawise Industry Services will hold a pressure test for 1-10 minutes. An example of a shorter time one (1) minute would be skimmer to pool, with a pipe run of less than 3'-0".  

B) Plugs: A pressure test relies on a good plug seal. A plug may not seal properly because of blistering/bubbling, fitting construction, previous repairs, and other instances. This forces leak detectors to use extensions, inflatables and other products to perform pressure tests. All fittings in these instances will be dye tested; however, ground water and debris can affect dye pull. See "Perceptibility Testing" below.  

1) Water Features: Water features, such as shear descents and rock features are typically not constructed to allow for proper pressure testing. Due to these reasons, water features are typically not pressure tested. The exterior of the water features will be checked for water-loss. A customer may opt for a more in-depth/invasive test at additional charge. 

2) Equipment Construction: Equipment may not be constructed to allow for a pressure test. In these cases, client will be provided options to allow for testing. Options could be cutting, taps, and other methods; however, options will be an additional charge that will be disclosed at the time of the leak detection. 

3) Please note, pools that have not been running, lines that have been dormant, empty pools, pools with debris, and leaves can obstruct a pressure test. Drought seasons can highten the change of a false pressure test on empty pools and dormant lines. ALL SERVICES BASED ON STANDARD PIPING SIZES. ANYTHING OVER 2 1/2". PLEASE NOTIFY THE OFFICE BEFORE SCHEDULING. SPECIALTY PLUGS ARE NOT CARRIED ON THE TRUCK. 

 The term "Locates" is a reference to breaks in pipes that are underground and can not be seen from the surface. Durawise Industry Services has three (3) pieces of equipment (manufactured by others) to help narrow down leak locations; however, ground water, hollowed ground under decks, other underground utilities/pipes, and surrounding noise pollution can affect the results of a location. For these reasons Durawise Industry Services notates "Locates" with one of three symbols: 

1) "  "Narrowed Break Locate" this means the devices have picked up a break and the location has been identified in the general location. A pressure test at time of repair is required to verify there are no other breaks with in the Zone. (Typical) 

2) " "Tentative Break Locate" this means the leak detector has reason to believe there maybe a break within this location that cannot be confirmed or has reason to believe a second break within a "Zone" based on noises picked up. The leak detector will notate specific reasons for use of this symbol and in most cases provide a plan of action. (Rare Instances) 

3) " " Impeded Break Locate" this means the leak detector cannot pinpoint a leak into a general location. This can be due to echoing, surrounding drainage, hollowed decks and other issues. The leak detector will notate issues. In order to find the break, an additional price may need to be charged, because multiple holes may need to be cut into deck. (Rare Instances).  

****Please note: Air and water takes the least path of resistance. This means more than one break can be on any "Zone". Therefore, at the time of repair or after the repair an additional pressure test is recommended. This is at an additional charge. Change orders may be requested to pinpoint "Tentative Break Locate" and/or "Impeded Break Locates".  

Leaks that are located below grade and are further down than thirty (30") from the decks surface may require additional location costs. 

The "Perceptibility Tests"  is the use of dye to detect areas within the bow of th gunite strucutre to escape.  Dye is used to observe underwater movement. Dye tests can be impeded by debris, low water-level, ground water and other issues. Some items may not pull dye one day and start taking on water later. (An example of this on multiple projects is the drain housing. After a heavy rain, customers have reported they lost less water or did not notice loss at all. About a week or so after the rain stopped, the loss started again. Irrigation and other active leaks within the pool can obstruct a dye test.   

The equipment pad will be checked for visible water leaks while the system is running. This is based on accessibility. This does not include air leaks. If an air leak is identified within a Zone, it will be notated.  

Water monitoring is not included in this package. See add costs.  Please note water monitoring cannot be performed in excessive heat, windy days for features, nor when there is chance of rain. Durawise Industry Services will need to have access to controls outside of items not programmed to run on service. Otherwise, monitoring will be limited. 

Warranty: Due to the nature of service, all leak detections are performed on a best-effort basis and based on observations of conditions taken on the date/time of service. For these reasons, a fourteen (14) day leak detection warranty from the date of the leak detection, this date ___TBD_______, has been provided. If required, this leak detection warranty provides an additional perceptibility “dye” test by Durawise Industry Services only. It does not include costs for failures on lines previously pressure tested, lines repaired by others, or other items repaired by others. Additional charges will apply for trips resulting in another's fault and/or no leaks. In addition, no damages or repair costs are included in this warranty. During your leak detection warranty period, the customer and/or their clients must monitor the pool/spa/basin's water levels and report any losses to sales@durawiseindustryserves.com. Water Monitoring and Specialty Features Exclusions:

• Water      Monitoring: This service requires an additional charge and must be requested      upfront.
• Specialty      Features: Standard leak detection pricing EXCLUDES features like deck sprays,      drainage, nozzles, fountains, rock features, shear descents, venturi      skimmers, toys, venturi systems, poly jets, in-floor valve systems, metal      grates, storage tanks, rock features, scuppers, slides, canisters, and      other uncommon water elements. 

Additional Considerations:

Our leak detection package may require additional charges for specific construction elements. Anything outside of standard pool features, will be excluded. A written quote will be provided if testing will be executed on specialty features. Otherwise, it should be considered excluded.

IF RAIN, HAIL, OR OTHER FORMS OF HEAVY PERCIPITATION ARE IN THE FORECAST THE PROJECT WILL BE RESCHEDULED. IF THERE IS INTERMITTENT RAIN FORECAST, CONTRACTOR SCHEDULES AT OWN RISK. 

PLEASE BE ADVISED OF THE FOLLOWING GUIDES FOR SCHEDULING BASED ON TEMPERATURES:

1. IF SITE DOES NOT HAVE TREE COVER NOR A CLOSE FENCE TO POOL: THE PROJECT CAN BE SCHEDULED IF DAILY TEMPERATURES DO NOT DROP BELOW 50 DEGREE FAHRENHEIT ("F") FOR THE THREE DAYS PRIOR AND NIGHTLY TEMPERATURES DO NOT DROP BELOW 35 DEGREES FOR THE THREE DAYS PRIOR. 
2. IF HOME IS TWO STORIES FACING THE EAST AND POOL IS NEXT TO HOME FACING THE WEST, TEMPERATUES CANNOT DROP BELOW 58 DEGREES "F" FOR THE PREVIOUS DAILY TEMPERATURES AND NIGHTLY TEMPERATUES NOT DROPPING BELOW 42 DEGREES "F". ALSO APPLIES TO POOLS THAT ARE SHADED BY COVERS AND/OR TREES. 

POOL MUST BE CLEAN AND FREE OF DEBRIS. GREEN POOLS, CLOUDY POOLS, AND DEBRIS FILLED POOLS ARE UNACCEPTABLE, UNLESS DISCUSSED PREVIOUS TO VISIT WITH A PLAN IN PLACE TO TEST SPECIFIC AREAS. 

IF YOU HAVE A POOL RENOVATION, PLEASE KEEP IN MIND A GREEN POOL THAT HAS BEEN SITTING THERE CAN HAVE DEBRIS TEMPORARILY CLOG LEAKS. IDEALLY, THE POOL SHOULD BE CLEANED, VACUUMED AND CIRCULATED FOR A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEK PRIOR TO LEAK DETECTION VISIT.  

ALL GATE GUARDS, ACCESS CODES, AND PHONE NUMBERS MUST BE PROVIDED TO ACCESS SITES. ALL DOGS AND PETS SHOULD BE REMOVED.  IF DWIS CANNOT ACCESS AND/OR VERIFY LOCATION, THERE WILL BE A TRIP CHARGE. 

DWIS DOES NOT WORK ON PAID WHEN PAID TERMS. MEANING THAT ALL INVOICES WILL BE DUE ON OR BEFORE INVOICE DATE. LATE FEES WILL APPLY TO LATE INVOICES.
